Florida State Requirement Details for Real Estate Sales Associate Post-Licensing Education

Continuing Education and License Renewal Date: 3/31 and 9/30 every two years. The date you renew depends on when you initially took your licensing exam.

Hours Required by the State: 45 hours within 18-24 months after obtaining the initial license.

Note: New licensees should not take the 14 hours of "regular" CE in addition to the 45 hours, as they will not be accepted by the state. The process to renew in this state is to log in to the licensing system online and follow the prompts to renew.

Please note: All courses must be COMPLETED AND REPORTED to the Florida Real Estate Commission, PRIOR to your license expiration date.  Please allow ample time for course completion and reporting to the state, otherwise your license could go on inactive status.

The CE Shop’s Offering: 45 hours

The CE Shop is an approved provider in Florida.

Provider Approval Number: ZH1002334

Post-Licensing Final Exams: Final exams must be passed with a minimum of 75% and may be taken twice in order to pass. If the exam is not passed the second time, the licensee must re-enroll at no cost (by contacting customer support) and retake the entire course, including the final exam. Licensees will be allotted 1.8 minutes per question. Licensees have up to 1 year, after failing the first exam to complete a second attempt.

Reporting: The state requires schools to report course completions within seven to ten days from the course completion date.

Expiration Date of Course: This post-licensing course expires one year after the date of purchase.  The CE Shop will allow students to purchase a new course at a 50% discount of the current retail price of the new course.  Each individual course will have an expiration date listed in the student’s account.

Certificates: Once The CE Shop has received the signed affidavit, your certificate of course completion will become available to download (and via email).  The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic certificate of completion, upon completion of the course. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies. Please refer to your license application to determine if you need to submit your certificate of completion with your license request. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date of your certificate of completion will reflect this.
